Letter to Owners – October 16, 2020

October 14, 2020

Dear Owners and Members:

On September 28, 2020, the Department of Consumer Affairs (“DACO” by its acronym in Spanish) issued an order to ESJ Towers, Inc., the manager of the Condominium, to schedule an owner’s meeting for the election of the new board of directors of the Condominium. If we can do this in a safe manner, this will finally put what has happened during the past 2yrs behind us and allow us to finally fully recover from Hurricane Maria and to more effectively deal with the ongoing Pandemic.

For the record, ESJ Towers Inc.’s management agreement was unanimously approved at the December 18, 2013 owner’s meeting by all in attendance and by proxy. DACO also ordered ESJ Towers, Inc. to update and finalize the Owners Registry in order to schedule the owner’s meeting, since only the owners registered in the Owners Registry are allowed to vote.  In accordance with the duty to maintain said Registry, on July 21, 2020, Ms. Vanessa Suárez sent you a form requesting information to update the Owners Registry. Follow-up reminders were later sent by Ms. Vanessa Suárez asking those who had not responded to fill out and return the form. Today, Ms. Vanessa Suárez will send an additional reminder and added information which is now required under the new Condominiums Law which went into effect after the notice she sent on July 21.

We have now been made aware of the Cohen group soliciting your personal information under the “guise” of needing it for the Owners Registry. They have no authority to request this information. We strongly recommend that you refrain from sending the Cohen group any personal, private information.

We want EVERY VOTE to count, so please, if you have not done so, send your filled-out form to Ms. Vanessa Suárez via email to vsuarez@esjcondo.com. As always, we will assure that your information is kept safe and confidential.

Stay safe and thanks, as always, for your cooperation,

Sincerely,

Keith St. Clair
